Indeed Labs | Hydraluron Moisture Booster Review

06:45

Happy Autumn, my dear readers! A new season is before us and it's time to drag out our knit sweaters & for Starbucks to stock up their pumpkin spice mixes. But before we get too head of ourselves, let's take a few steps back from fall aesthetics of crisp, bright orange leaves, and talk moisture!

Featuring my love affair for the past two years: Indeed Lab's Hydraluron Moisture Booster.

Imagine a chaste & volatile summer love found on the hot sands of a a Mediterranean beach... now factor out the love and swap in a tube of condensed hyaluronic acid... And change the whole set up to dry autumn-winter. You might feel that that's not exactly the same thing but trust me... it feels the same.

Especially for girls like me who suffer from dry skin. We're like the awkward Bridget Jones of the chick-flick genre, just waiting for our Hugh-Hydraluron Grant to come in and sweep us off our feet!

And boy is this a charmer!

Say "Indeed" to Indeed Labs
I have no other way to say this: my parents are as in love with Indeed than I am.

And for a good reason too!

Known for their targeted & extremely effective serums and visually-appealing minimalist packaging, Indeed Labs has long made a name for themselves in the UK. When I was leaving London for the summer holidays & had to grab a few tubes of Snoxin & Hydaluron as souvenirs, I had to ring up Boots to check for availability!

The results? Sold out in all stores in Zone 1 & 2 save for a branch in a train (not tube) station, which had 5.

It's just that good.

I would personally recommend most of their products (sans the hydraluron range) for a slightly more mature demographic as the effective line-filling, age-resisting and redness-reducing products might prove too strong for younger skin. For those downing collagen-placenta complexes in their early twenties, I'd recommend taking advantage of your natural skin regenerative properties and youthful vitality to exercise while you still can.

Their Hydraluron range, however, shines bright like the dry-skin saviour for beauties of all ages!

Texture of Hydraluron. It keeps its shape more in colder weather.

Hydraluron In Action!
I am actually very very embarrassed with the "Before" picture because I hadn't realised that I had gone out with such flakey skin until I got home and had a look at the pictures! *heavy off-screen breathing into paper bag*

At the time, I actually thought I was taking pictures for a casual MOTD (makeup of the day) showing my daily eyeliner and pink-pop-lips. Haha... So naive. ;A;

Just look at how painfully dry my skin was!

Shameless Before Shot

And... let's compare that to a day where I had used Hydraluron to prep my skin before putting on my makeup. See the difference? I do. I definitely... do. Note that I used the exact same makeup products in the "After" pictures.

You know it's not the same day because my acne on the right side of my face (your left) is quelled in the after shot. Somewhat unrelated: I'll be doing a "How To" on killing a spot in the future, so keep an eye out for that!

After Shot

My policy on not photoshopping my face for skincare reviews still applies, by the way, so pardon the not-as-vibrant pictures here!

To those wondering whether it really is possible to get problematic skin to behave, it definitely is!

Now that I've got your attention with the results, let's talk a little bit more about the actual product and what it did to my skin!

As most of you know, I am a huge lover of Hyaluronic Acid and its moisture-retaining properties. Now the story with Hydraluron is that it contains a pure form of hyaluronic acid. What does that mean to us? It means that it can hold up to a thousand times its weight in water!

That's a lot of moisture!

Also, to ease the delivery of the product to your skin, red marine algae is added to the formula. The result? Hydrated and thoroughly moisturised skin

    1. Thanks so much, Josephine!
Indeed Labs does have really effective products (given the pricetag, it definitely should!) but really, the effects are very much noticeable within the first 10 minutes or so compared to... 10 days let's say.
Allow me a mini-rant here but, I was quite disappointed with the sales assistant from Muse...

My advice is "Don't get hassled into purchasing something you think you don't need!" Reviews are your best friend! ^^

I personally feel that this is something great to have on-hand when doing your makeup before a big day or just a little something-something to boost your skin's elasticity & moisture in the long run.
Best of luck! The price is pretty good in Malaysia.

  4. ahhh, algae. Can't do it. It's like 5 on the comeodogenic scale.
Excellent review though (and yea, your skin definitely can relate to mine on NY winter)

    1. Oh wow, I wasn't aware that it was comedogenic at all. My skin is quite sensitive to a myriad of skincare products (Burt's Bee's all-natural ensemble included), breaking out in painful pustules whenever it feels like it but I've had no reactions at all with Hydraluron... Hmm..

      Perhaps to each their own?

Thanks very much for your comment, you've given me something to look into...

  5. Laughing so much at your 'Hugh-Hydraluron Grant' sentence. XD
This looks interesting! I suffer from dry skin whenever I am combating/spot-treating my acne areas (which is always). But I always worry about moisturizers breaking my out - good to hear that this one didn't! By the way, I nominated your blog in a 'best blog' tag in my most recent post. Your posts are always fun & informative to read. :)

Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart! ^^
If I could, I would swear upon my firstborn that hyaluronic acid doesn't break you out. (only thing is, I don't have a firstborn haha)
Also, I get what you mean! Some days I just have to weigh it out and decide: Dry skin this week or acne skin? -sigh- The struggle is real.
Thanks so much once again, I really really am so happy that you enjoy my blog. ^^ <3
